Introduction** **Effective date:** 10/13/2026 This Privacy Policy explains how GeneCloud, LLC dba Tennex.io ("Tennex," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit tennex.io (the "Site"), fill out a form, or otherwise interact with us online. Tennex is an AWS consulting partner based in Massachusetts, USA. For purposes of EU and UK data protection law, Tennex is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This policy covers the Site only. Personal data we process on behalf of clients during consulting engagements is governed by our client agreements, not this policy. ### **2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies** We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. - **Strictly necessary cookies** keep the Site working and store your cookie choices. These cannot be turned off. - **Analytics cookies** (Google Analytics) tell us which pages are visited and how people find us. - **Marketing cookies** (HubSpot) associate Site visits with a contact record if you submit a form, and measure email engagement. Visitors in the EU and UK will see a cookie banner, and non-essential cookies are set only after you consent. You can change your choices anytime through the cookie settings link in the Site footer, or block cookies in your browser settings. How We Share Information** **We do not sell your personal information**, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share personal information only with: - **Service providers** that help us operate the Site and our business, under contracts that limit their use of the data. These include HubSpot (CRM, forms, email marketing), Google Analytics (Site analytics), and Hubspot (Site hosting). - **Partners, with your direction.** For example, if you ask us to coordinate with Amazon Web Services on funding or programs relevant to your project. - **Legal and safety recipients**, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or others. - **A successor business**, if Tennex is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy. ### **6. Retention, Security, and International Transfers** **Retention.** We keep contact and inquiry data for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship, plus up to 3 years after our last interaction, unless the law requires longer. Analytics data is retained per our analytics settings (currently 14 months). We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed. **Security.** We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and multi-factor authentication on the systems that hold it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. **International transfers.** Tennex is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US and other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EU or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the recipient is certified, or Standard Contractual Clauses. ### **7. Your Privacy Rights** **Everyone** can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by contacting us. **EU and UK residents** have the right to: - Access the personal information we hold about you - Correct inaccurate information - Delete your information - Restrict or object to processing, including for direct marketing - Receive your data in a portable format - Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing - Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or the UK Information Commissioner's Office **US state residents** (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws) may have the right to know what personal information we collect, access it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for profiling. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. **How to exercise your rights.** Email support@tennex.io. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time the law requires (generally 30 days in the EU/UK and 45 days in the US). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. ### **8. Children, Changes, and Contact** **Children.** The Site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. **Changes to this policy.** We may update this policy as our practices or the law change.
